The Challenge

The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) aimed to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of network communications among track workers. Recognizing the pivotal role of clear communication in ensuring safety on the network, ARTC sought a custom eLearning solution to equip workers with the skills to engage in best practice communication. The objective was to create a learning experience that was both memorable and applicable to their day-to-day work.

The Creative Approach

Poncho eLearning devised an interactive eLearning program that focused on modelling best practice communication for rail workers. Utilising interactive audio components, the program showcased both good and bad examples of network communications through engaging case studies. Learners were guided through scenarios where communication issues were identified, allowing them to understand the potential safety implications. A narrator provided insights and guidance, leading learners through best practice scenarios to illustrate how effective communication should sound.

The Training Outcome
