The Challenge

Yarra Trams faced the challenge of upskilling its frontline workers on the updated “Rule Book,” a comprehensive guide to light rail safety, hazards, and controls. With the implementation of changes in the Rule Book, it was essential to educate tram workers on the new guidelines and their implications for their daily roles.

The Creative Approach

Poncho eLearning collaborated with the Yarra Trams project team to develop a customised eLearning program focused on breaking down the complexities of the new Rule Book into easily understandable concepts. Utilising interactive graphics and an intuitive interface, the program allowed workers to digest information in manageable chunks, ensuring efficient learning. Animations were employed to simplify key differences between the old and new Rule Book, simplifying the rationale behind the changes and facilitating comprehension.
